Got to bed last night about 11 PM after the night ride with JY. Beep, beep, beep, beep, the alarm clock goes off at 5 AM. Thunder down some coffee...some Malt-O-Meal....a banana. Throw on the Giant kit. Saddle up on the NRS #1. Open can of Red Bull. Guzzle. Proceed to Bike Tech to meet up with the others while watching the sun come up in the East.

I get down to Bike Tech around 6:20 AM. The others that show include....Citron Rob (aka Hoooo-la-hand), JY, Adamson, Bidwell, and Craig. We head north for Camp Ingawanis on some fine Iowa gravel at a leisure pace of 17 mph. Once we get in we hit up the loop on the South side. We cruise around at a good pace so all the varying talent levels can enjoy. We do 2 laps, and then Craig and Adamson head back to Cedar Falls to partake in other activities for the day.

Next up, myself, JY, Citron Rob, and Bidwell turn out another lap at a higher pace. At this time we loose Bidwell. We wait....and wait...and wait at the end of the trail head. We then decide to ride the course backwards to try to find him. Note: riding the south side backwards kicks ass! We ride an entire lap backwards and end up finding him at the trail head. No harm. No foul.

We then decide to pack it up and head home so I can get to the shop by 11:30 to work. All and all it was a great ride was some swell folks. JY should have some pics. Now it's time to watch the time tick by till 5 PM.

Also, John Adamson, whom I refer to all the time on this blog, got some love on Cyclingnews from his Leadville 100 experience. Check it out.

And, super fast XC geek, Brian Eppen and wife of Iowa City won the Ore to Shore Mountain Bike Epic...on a tandem...OVERALL! Wow!

Stay tuned to G-Ted's site. He is at the Trek Show. Lots of bling to look at soon I am sure.

    Time to earn my pay.
