• So, I went for a ride.

A nice little ride with Carl. Put in about 60 miles in the early AM on the road sleds. We are having some sweet weather here in Iowa thanks to the fine folks up in Canada. The temp was sit'n around 52 degrees when we headed out on our loop. Cold enough to have to throw on a long sleeve jersey to keep the chills at bay. Since there was not much inensity involved this AM, I took the camera along. Enjoy.

    Look Ma, no hands!

Head'n towards New Hartford. Check out that sky!

Chasing down Carl, since he took off when I stopped to water the flowers along the road.

Check out the elevation Iowa has to offer.

We had to yield to Flag Lady. Flag Lady was working really hard. Flag Lady was sport'n the neon green t-shirt. Flag Lady is cool.

Flag Lady let us go. She is the keeper of this fine fresh black top. Thanks Flag Lady!

These guns have a really really good shot at a solo podium spot at the 24 Hours of Seven Oaks
Speaking of the 24 hour race....make sure you go. It's a killer deal for one super swell event.

The guns belong to this man...Darth Jackal. Or what ever he is calling himself now days.

Geography Quiz: Do you know what town this is located in? Sound off!

So that was todays ride. Was a good time. I would personally like to thank the girl driving to work/class that was coming at us driving her car while shielding the sun with one hand and talking on her cell phone with the other for not mowing us down. Thanks super safe driver girl!

The rest of the day will involve going to Wal-Mart to pick up 2 of the items in the cyclist food pyramid....olive oil and parmesan cheese. Then I will take the Mazda to the car fix-it place to have them change the oil and make sure it is safe for the 2 day drive to Whistler, BC.

So do you know the location of that last picture?
