I figured out which head light I am going to run for Trans-Iowa. It's pictured above. It's the Cateye EL-500. It's only 1 LED, but it's hell-a bright. There is plenty of light to get where you're going. The other added bonus is it's way light...the weight of 4 AA batteries. It also runs for 30 hours non-stop....WHOA! Plus, it does not take up much room on the handlebar. These lights will set you back around $50 or so, but if you dig around you might find it cheaper. Click on the picture for the 411 on the light. Don't have a whole lot to do today (Saturday)? Head west of Cedar Falls, and check out the Regional Ice Climbing Championships. This event, sponsored by Red Bull, has people flying up the side of silos on large masses of ice. Pretty cool if ya ask me! Check it out HERE.
