Fall is in full swing here in Colorado. With sketchy weather forecasted for the high country, Sonya and myself headed 18 miles west of Boulder and rode the network of trails just outside of Nederland. We simply parked in town....then rode about 1 mile outside of town to the trails.
After a brief warm up on the road to the trail head, we hit the dirt and start going up.
So smooth....so buff.
Check out the aspens! Wow! Some of the trails were covered in the fallen leaves. It was like riding on the yellow brick road.
Temps were hovering right around 60 degrees. Surprisingly, we were one of a few folks out ripping up these trails.
Cue the circus music! 5 laps on this and a person has a hard time standing up!
Sonya rocking and rolling on one of the many short downhills.
After 3 hours of riding, we emptied back out to were we started.
We finished off the ride with a spin back to the Ergon FJ which was parked in Nederland. About 10 minutes after we got back...the skies let loose with a cold Fall rain. Talk about good timing!
There are a few more pictures posted here from the ride.
