Meet up with SoloGoat for a pre-race day shake down of the legs. Nothing crazy today other than riding up the opening climb in a super chill gear. We followed that up by hitting up the open section of singletrack to get a feel for proper air pressure in the tires and suspension. Bikes and bodies are tuned for the event.
Trail is dry and dusty...primo Colorado racing conditions. Did I mention it was dusty? Cough! Cough! There are a few muddy spots from melting snow...but nothing to crazy to swallow racers whole. My legs feel super...Coach has me dialed...and am looking forward to a super solid effort tomorrow when the gun goes off at 11 AM.
Here is a sampling of the opening singletrack that we did a short out and back on. It's big-ring material all the way. GIVE'R!!!!
2 laps on this profile. It's not going to be kind those coming up from the low lands. Gosh, the previous years for me here, altitude was a limiter. Technically, this year should be a bit easier.............technically.
Race report to come Friday night. For the time being, check out some pre-race press.
