Went out this AM for a 2 hours spin around on the road bike. Kept the HR at about 118 average while spinning the 39 x 19...mission accomplished. Most of the ride was spent spinning around George Wyth State Park due to the 15 mph winds in the country. Here are some pictures from the ride.
Just getting started. It was pretty warm this morning. About 60 degrees. Ahhhhh, feel the warmth.
My road rocket. Built it up custom about 8 years ago. Giant CFR Team Carbon with full Ultegra and Bontrager Race X Lite hoops. I love this bike.
Just one of the many miles of the paved trail system we have running in and around Cedar Falls and Waterloo. Great for recovery days, cause it is enclosed by trees.
Get'n ready to cross over the Cedar River
The view from atop the famed Look Out Park Hill. This is some of Iowa's finest elevation.
Breaking all the rules at 15 mph and 106 HR
Getting ready to head up and over the Cedar River....again.
Some fine Iowa country side.
Ahhh, yeah...it's flat alright.
