• Global warming?

Holy cow! It's almost 70 degrees out! Is this June or November? Normally it's like 40 degrees out. The last few days, the lows haven't even gotten into the 40's. In fact, last night I slept with my window open. Ahhhh, refreshing!

Today, I went to the YMCA. Started with a 45 minute stairmaster warmup. Followed that with my scheduled weight lifting. Normally I am done after the weights, but since it's near 70 degrees, I rode home from the YMCA on my "pink panther" and changed into my Giant kit and went out on the XTC for an hour and a half. The ride was easy.....just worked on leg speed while riding the recreational path through G.W. State Park. I kept the heartrate around 120 bpm, which is my recovery HR in the summer months. My legs felt good. I have also worked up a lone saddle sore from all the commuting. I think I will name it Fred. Everyone say hello to my new friend Fred. Hopefully Fred is only my new friend for a few days.

Today I am going to drive my car to work since I haven't driven it much. So they say, you shouldn' let your car sit too much. So why not drive it today since there is a chance of rain towards the time I get off work.

Work should be buisy today since the weather is warm. We got our Haro BMX race bikes in yesterday, so those need to get put together for all the newbie bmxicans we have flocking to Waterloo and Cedar Falls. We have the only indoor BMX track in this region. It's a huge draw. We also got a bunch of other stuff in that needs to be good-to-go by Thanksgiving. So for me the next few weeks it's build, build, build.

Tomorrow, is supposed to a bit warm again.....near 65 deggrees. I e-mailed John who is "The Great Local Old Dude Who Never Gets Slow". He is over 50 and kicks my butt at the local road T.T.'s plus every year he goes out and does the Leadville 100. I have a ton of respect for this guy. He lives to bike.....and drink coffee. Anytime you can spin around with John it's great. The only thing is, that he goes hard all the time. What's up with that?

Well, it's time to prep for the madness that is a night of working at Europa Cycle and Ski. Hope to be buisy. Last night myself and A. Lo. started putting up the X-Mas decorations........it looks like 2 guys did it, that's for sure! I bet when i get into work today the "Women of Europa" will have added their touches.

    That's it.

    Out.
