• First Look: Cannondale Six13 Pro 2

On Tuesday night I had a chance to get out and spread the wings of this sweet ride. My first 3 hours on this bike were nothing but sweetness. Light, quick, and snappy are the first 3 words that come to mind. What you are looking at is a stock out of the box Cannondale Six13 Pro 2. Mixing a blend of aluminum and a carbon fiber down tube make this bike full blow race bred. The Six13 Pro integrates a carbon fiber down tube, placing both light-weight stiffness and road vibration damping in the most critical performance region of the bike. The Pro also utilizes boron near the head tube to provide simultaneous strength and weight-loss. So far my impression of this bike are good. If my Rush's ride like this, 2006 will be a breakout year. I wonder how long before we see a Six13 Rush? Mmmmmmmm....

Cannondale Six13 Pro 2 with Speedplay Zero Stainless pedals and pink bar tape to add "hey, look at me!" value.

First thing ya have to do is weight it. Duh.

Just over 18lbs with pedals, cages, CatEye Microwireless, and a seatpack filled with goods.

The handlebars are wide on this bike. 44cm to be exact. I was running 42's on the Giant. Lots of room means massive chest expansion.

The headtube badge(s) are a piece of work in their own right.

The exposed carbon fiber down tube and part of a stainless steel H2O cage.

Ass nirvana being achieved with the Fizik Arione saddle.

    12-25 Ultegra rear.

Buchanandale showing off his Ninja skills?

That is all for now on the bike. I will get some more thoughts and pics up on the bike once i have enough time to make a good review. So far...so good. Thursday is group ride day. Bike will be put to the test again.
