I am going wide. I have decided to change out the bars on my mountain bikes to something wider. Right now, I am running a generic aluminum flat bar that is 580mm wide that we get through the team. This was an ideal bar racing in the Midwest were the singletrack was tighter. After doing some research over the past week or so, I have opted to purchase the Ritchey WCS Low Rizer bar. It has a very minimal rise....and the best part is that it is 660mm wide. That is plenty of width for added leverage and room to open up the chest cavity for better breathing.....and control on the down hills. This even offers the option to cut the bar down if need be. Hope to see the bars in the next 7-10 days!
