• When in Moab....ride in Moab.

When you are in Moab...you have to ride in Moab. It's the law. Granted, I was in Moab to set up the Ergon booth in the vendor area at the 24 Hours of Moab, but that only takes up about 60% of the days effort. The down time involves eating, sleeping, and of course....riding!

On Friday, Sonya and myself left the Front Range and drove out to this little playground. Upon arrival, the early Fall storm that was to move it over the weekend was already starting to show its bad side. With winds blowing close to 30 mph, we opted to not set up the booth at the venue...and wait until morning. So, that gave us some time to ride up......and then down the Amasa Back trail. Coming back down was fun...

Saturday was a designated work day....although it was cut short due to intense winds...err....winds of biblical proportions. The wind was pretty bad. What made it really bad was the flying sand that came with it. After working the Ergon booth for around 6 hours we took the tent down and went back to town. The risk of having the tent blowing away was too high. Just ask some of those vendors on site that lost a tent or 2.

Sunday, we went back to the venue in the AM. We were greeting with no wind and crisp cool tents. We ended up staying until the end of the event, then packed up one final time. When we got back to town we grabbed a quick bite then hit up the Slickrock trail system on the edge of town. It was a good way to shake out the legs from standing around the last 2 days...and to get them prep'd for the ride out at Sovereign Trail on Monday AM. Here are the picture from that ride...with the video below!
