I call this photo "Perfect Flow".....or something along those lines.Got out in the late AM for a final shake-down of the legs. Spent a little over an hour doing hot laps on the demo course. Which I might add is sweet. Waaaaaaaaaaaay better than the actual XC race course. Legs felt good today. Now, it's a matter of time to see if the legs feel the good vibe in the AM at the XC race. I am as ready as can be. Nutrition is ready....bike is dialed....just need to get out and do it now.
This years Sea Otter will not be known for the traditional rain....but rather for the crazy ass wind. We are lucky that our backs in the Ergon tent face the wind, but other were not so lucky. I bet today, the wind is blowing out of the west at 25-30 mph. Vendor tents were shredded. Small children were tipped over. Grass was up rooted. And the inflatable slide seen in the photo damn near blew over onto Crank Brothers. So, they deflated it. The dust flying around from the wind is on everything. All the product in all the tents has a nice brown film on it. Ugh. Sorry for the lack of photos, but I am saving the camera battery for Offenburg. I figured, if you want to see photos of Sea Otter just open the next issue of BIKE, Mountain Bike Action, or Dirt Rag.Tomorrow is the final day. Early morning XC followed by booth time. Need to see all the product. The goal is to head home with no product in the rental van. For the brand, Sea Otter, has been a HUGE success tis year. It is amazing to see the growth in just one year.
Time to get some food.
