2008 Sea Otter Classic is in full "on" mode. No complaints here...weather is good and booth is busy. Well, busy for the most part. My partners in crime for the weekend do a little "networking" in between busy periods at the booth. Funny thing is that they are probably chatting back and forth with each other via iChat.....:-)
Got out today for a very easy 2 hour spin on the XC course in the AM. Course is in some of the best shape that I have seen it in over the 3 times I have raced here. Water ruts are pretty minimal and the only pain on the course is some longer sections of sand and some sand in some of the corners on the singletrack. What is the course like? I can sum it up with 3 photos...

Resulting in this profile. It will hurt. But in a good way. Just got to keep it all in perspective...another step upwards towards the season goals. Which, I might add, an early season goal has been reborn [insert heavenly singing here].
After the ride, it was back to the Ergon booth to finish out another successful day of brand outreach.Tomorrow is more of the same. Also plan to get in a short "tune-up" ride to get the engine stoked for the Sunday AM throw down. Find a rabbit.....and follow it. Here bunny, bunny, bunny.
